Tonight Bryan and I were trying to figure out who Norah’s favorite parent was and we were each making the case for the other (how precious right?) using specific bits of evidence. Finally I asked Norah if her favorite was Mama or Daddy – without hesitation she said “ELMO!” So there you have it.

I think we definitely have a "parent of the day" as I've termed it. Sometimes he likes me better, sometimes Jonathan, but Elmo never has an off day.
That's awesome. I actually really look forward to a day when Camilla likes Mark better than me. I'm sure I won't like it for more than a day or so, but I would love for her to be happy with somebody else for longer than three minutes. Oh, and for the record, sleeping through the night is totally a thing of the past. (Stupid traveling.)

Yeah, I think my favorite parent growing up was always the one who was going to give me what I wanted at the moment, whether it was a treat, permission to go out with friends, or a bit of slack in punishments.
I see now that Norah chose the better part. Elmo would make an AWESOME favorite parent. :)
