Alice's 6th Birthday

We celebrated Alice's 6th birthday with a pajama party. We made dream catchers, ate pizza, had pillow fights, danced to music, played pin the horn on the unicorn and had a "sleep over" which consisted of watching a movie in the basement with blankets and pillows and then sending the girls home around 8:00. It was a lot of fun.

Halloween

We had our first ever witch for Halloween in 2017. Alice was a dragon and Freya was a butterfly.  I wanted to take pic this picture and managed to get all three girls smiling but I decided I didn't like the background. I took this picture but I didn't like that Freya was licking her tootsie pop instead of smilingSo I took this one - and immediately gave her back her sucker after realizing my mistake. it is my favorite photo from the night. I can't look at it without laughing

Fall Colors

We spent a lovely weekend in the mountains enjoying the fall colors. Many thanks to the Russell family for sharing their cabin with us.

Squanto

We took advantage of a warm September day and enjoyed a picnic at Aurora resevoir with my parents. My dad brought his boat (that he MADE!) Squanto and we took turns rowing. It was much much harder than I expected and nothing like the rowing machines at the gym. We were sore for days!Grandpa Dean rowing Norah and Alice Bryan must have said something funny

Hicks Beach Week 2017

We had a wonderful time at the Beach with Bryan's family. We had more rainy days than we have ever had before but Bryan's parents made the best of it by planning an indoor family Olympics. The girls basked in the attention from their grandparents and Aunt and Uncle and all in all the trip was a huge success. ce
