The Era of Coordinating Dresses Begins!

It actually began last year with Christmas dresses but now it is in full swing. Thanks to their generous clothing benefactor (Mimi) there will be more pictures like this to come.IMG_8740-1
I’m so glad Norah enjoys dressing like Alice and I intend to take advantage while I can. I even was able to get Norah to wear a bow long enough to take this picture – after which she took off both her bow and Alice’s.
In other news: We spent Alice’s Christmas money on a baby gym. The rest of us have been devotedly exercising at the Y so we thought it only right Alice should also have a workout facility.IMG_8748Here she is doing some push upsIMG_8752She loves it, I love it and Norah loves it. IMG_8745Actually, Norah has some baby gym envy – so I set up her tent today as a consolation. IMG_8719
I love my little Norah girl but January is just not her month – nor mine. We need more outside time. I’ve got my hopes set on an early spring this year.

Six Weeks and Smiling

Oh our sweet baby Alice is just getting sweeterIMG_8708_thumb
And bless her heart she still does lots of this:IMG_8690_thumb
These are Alice’s thoughts on waking up after being unwrapped from the above pictured swaddle (BTW: I imagine she thought all these comments with a British accent because she and I have been watching Downton Abbey together)
Oh dear. How long did I sleep?IMG_8692_thumb
Really? That long?!IMG_8694_thumb
Well time to get going then – err get this arm up thereIMG_8695_thumb
and the other one too. Yes, much better.IMG_8697_thumb
Oh my. Hello there – where did you come from? Yes your quite right I “woke up.” I was just stretching and if you’ll excuse me a moment I’ll just throw on some jammies and then perhaps we could talk over a blanket in the living room.IMG_8698_thumb

Snow Day with Daddy

Norah is one of the few people I’ve met that enjoys having snowballs thrown at them. She would puff out her chest and say, “Daddy, throw the snowball at my soup(suit)”. By the way, Norah did not make either of the snowballs featured in this blog post.

IMG_0737Posed shot of Norah “making” a snowballIMG_0738Norah admiring “her” handicraftIMG_0744Norah found who she first thought was Jesus but when I told her it was Mary she was even more excitedIMG_0755

We spent a lot of time with Mary. Norah had a hard time leaving. She may have felt a special bond after playing Mary in the Branch nativity.IMG_0765

Finishing up a great snow day playing on the see saw.

Christmas comes in 2s

Grandpa Guy and Norah: Perfect playmates. Norah easily persuaded Grandpa Guy into almost any kind of playtime except for getting him to go to the pool with her.IMG_8481Mimi and Alice: Perfect opposites. While Mimi worked overtime to make Christmas magical for all of us vacationers, Alice just lazed about and slept the holiday away. Mimi was happy to accommodate this.IMG_8660Kimball and Bryan: Christmas Connoisseurs. Enjoying the best of what the holiday has to offer (orange rolls)IMG_8616Kelsey and Alice: Two very cuddly girlsIMG_8638Norah and Greg: Kindred spirits. Greg generously shared his stickers with NorahIMG_8671Courtney and Norah: BFF’s. Norah worships Courtney and loved exploring her bedroom (with and without Courtney’s supervision) to learn more about her.IMG_8669
