Freya at 9 months

Freya reached 9 months on April 25th. She is now constantly using furniture to pull herself up to standing and she will even “cruise” a bit along furniture. Freya likes to hold on with just one hand and wave the other to show off and she has started to point. Freya has thus far been a rather quiet baby but her babbling has increased recently and she seems much more interactive. Her big sisters have taken notice of her increased playfulness and lavish her with attention. Alice plays a little too rough with her in my opinion but Freya has survived it so I guess what doesn’t kill her will just make her stronger right? As for myself, I enjoy playing with Freya so much that after she goes to bed I think “I can’t wait to see Freya in the morning.” 9 months is a fantastic age!

4/16 4/17 4/30 5/1 at her 9 month check up. Dr. Hart said “she is just so perfect” and she also commented on how curious Freya was. Freya loved playing with Dr. Hart’s Stethoscope.

Daddy Daughter Dance

The girl scouts at Alex Sanger elementary hosted a Daddy Daughter Dance as a fundraiser. We aren’t sure how they made any money because the $5 admission included a professional DJ (maybe he did it for free?), a spaghetti dinner, corsages, and a dance photo! what a deal!! I stayed home with Freya but Bryan said the girls had a great time.

Easter

We had a lovely Easter. We died eggs twice.The Easter bunny came (although Alice kept saying Santa came and Norah kept whispering that she knew it was really us).

The Easter Bunny (aka, Santa, aka us) brought Freya recycled toys from her older sisters. I wasn’t worried about Norah noticing the familiar toys since I had already ruined the Easter Bunny for her. I was however a little worried the toys hadn’t been stored long enough for Alice to forget about them. I have felt really bad about spoiling the Easter Bunny for Norah and wanted to give Alice a few more years. Turns out that was giving her way to much credit. Not only was she oblivious to the toys, I still have to convince her that the Easter bunny is a thing. We had Benjamin’s family and Caterina’s family over for a delicious brunch and the kids hunted for eggs in the yard
