We dyed eggs a few times We went to the University Park Egg Hunt again this year with our friends the Pratt’s. There were eggs everywhere but they weren’t hidden at all so it was all about being fast and furious and it was over in a few minutes. Bryan said it was more like Egg Hunger Games than an egg hunt but the kids had a great time. Norah took it very seriously and was successful in gathering many eggs. Alice stopped to pick up one and eat a piece of candy and by the time she was done the eggs were all gone. Discovering their Easter goodies Alice was most excited about her little box of multi colored goldfish We had our friends the Prentices over for Easter dinner and had our own egg hunt for the kids. Alice ended up sleeping through the egg hunt but it was probably for the best because Norah and Benjamin were pretty competitive egg hunters – although they both seemed to be really caught off guard by having to actually look for the eggs. We had hidden two eggs in this tree right at their eye level, and told them they were there, and they still couldn’t find them. Kids these days! I blame community egg hunts for going too easy on them. These kids were completely unprepared for the basics of egg hunting. They had to be encouraged and guided to look in the most classic egg hiding spots.

Conan had the same problem as Alice at Easter Eggs hunts. Oh well.
I hid eggs for Haven, Anna, and Louis. Renee and Grandma insisted we count the eggs before hiding in case we didn't find them all. I counted and we thought we found them all but Mom said she found one this past week. I forgot to ask if the jelly beans were still edible.
