Father’s Day Strawberry Picking

Yesterday we had a family outing to Grisamore Farm to see the farm animals and pick some berries for Father’s Day. While picking berries we heard a glowing recommendation for Scoops – an ice cream shack by the side of the road so we made a stop there on the way home and it was truly the best soft serve I’ve ever had. We picked lots of strawberries and enjoyed pancakes with strawberries for breakfast this morning and have an angel food cake with strawberries planned for tonight.

Gymnastics Medal Ceremony

Norah completed her first gymnastics class and each child was presented a medal. How adorable right?IMG_7368Here she is with her friend Maya being triumphantIMG_7381IMG_7380

Lindsey’s 27th Birthday

I had a really nice birthday this year. It fell over reunion weekend which is pretty stressful for me but my friend Stacy babysat Norah for us on June 11th so we could see a movie (Midnight in Paris) and escape the crowded reception at the house. Then the next day on my actual birthday we invited a bunch of friends over to enjoy the leftovers from reunion weekend! Hillary even made me a cake so it was a true birthday bash.IMG_7350 Norah and Lincoln performed a duet in my honorIMG_7353Eli turned pages for themIMG_7355

Ithaca festival

On June third we finally made it to the Ithaca Festival Parade. Ithaca doesn’t have much of a 4th of July celebration but they go all out for Ithaca. Our first summer here we missed it because we were still in the hospital with Norah and our second summer we went on the wrong day. It was definitely a sight to see with plenty of war protesters and promoters of organic living.

We went with our friends Ben and Paige (who were babysitting Lincoln that night) and Kate and Rich (pictured below)IMG_7327This is the group from the organic cooperative grocery store “Greenstar”IMG_7326I can’t remember what this was all aboutIMG_7337This woman was demonstrating how to compost yourselfIMG_7338I think this group's slogan was “Bring home the drones” and “Graduates honor the UN Charter”IMG_7331And what would a college town be without a Tibetan association? Free Tibet!!IMG_7343

Norah’s Playhouse

Norah received an incredible playhouse for her second birthday that was made with love by her mimi. It even came with a pet doggie.IMG_7224The back of the house showing the garden and apple tree with produce ready to be picked (Norah has already pulled up the carrots).IMG_7232This view shows the doggie door and a glimpse of the fireplace inside if you look through the windowIMG_7227DSC_0526

2 Year Stats

Norah just had her 2 year appointment with Dr. Snedeker and for those interested she is 33 inches tall and weighs 24 pounds. She is pretty much in the same percentiles as she was a year ago: 25th for height and 17th for weight.
