Norah likes to express her independence with food. She refuses to eat from a spoon. I've been trying to feed her from a spoon for months with no improvement. Sometimes I can sneak a spoon in her mouth when she is opening up for a cheerio but that is as good as it gets. On the bright side she has mastered the pincer grasp and is willing to eat just about anything she can put in her own mouth. Today she grabbed some lettuce from my salad and bit off pieces of that -- she later changed her mind about it and spit it out.
Here are Norah's top 10 favorites:
1. Cheerios
2. Tofu Tikka Masala
3. Carrots and Potatoes from Kristof's Thai Green Curry
4. Garbanzo beans
5. String Cheese
6. Peeled Grapes
7. Bananas
8. Avocado
9. Sweet Potatoes
10. Stewed Tomatoes

Woohoo, Norah! She's so cute I just have to hold her right now!!
Her tastes are impressively global.
true, it's frustrating she's no fan of the spoon but her tastes are awesome. won't it be nice when she asks for curry not curly fries? yeah!
It's just because I'm cheap and try to feed her left overs whenever possible. Kristof, our amazing cook at Alpha Phi, cooks up a lot of ethnic food. Yum!
I'm going to second Ashley's and kel's comments: what a mature pallette. I envy her menu!
Hyrum eats 3 of those. I still look forward to the day when Cheerios make his list of approved foods. How lucky you are to have a child who will eat foods, even if not on a spoon.
Thai, tofu, tikka masala, and garbanzo beans? what a hippie!
I can't believe that Tofu Tikka Masala, Carrots and Potatoes from Kristof's Thai Green Curry, and Garbanzo beans are in her top 5! She is such a bold eater! She is more cultured than most college students!
I cannot believe how much she has grown! What a doll! Now you can look forward the "science experiment" phase; Sofi mixes, mashes, and then says, "No, I don't like this." Such fun! :) How's the mom doing?
Love, love love that high chair. Where did you get that?
